Firefox skips drop-down fields in Mac

Problem: When I use the TAB key to navigate web page forms in which there is a drop-down field (address “state” is the most common drop-down field I come across), it skips to the next free-form field instead.
Solution:

In the url bar, type: about:config and press the Enter key. That will open a page that shows [...]
